Widescreen Sans Serif Font
This font is a traditional sans serif with an Art Deco feel. Yet below the surface, it has an alter ego; an ultra wide, almost brutalist, design hidden at the other end of its variable font width axis. Whilst each static width proportion will suit some designs, Widescreen’s value is in the variable font axis that lets the user customise the look and feel. Similarly, a weight axis allows for even more subtle control over how the typeface appears in a design layout.
There are many static applications that Widescreen would fit, but it is in motion design where this typeface really comes to life. The smooth transitions, from both normal to wide and from thin to heavy, can be used to dramatic effect. The letters themselves can behave kinetically creating dynamic visual effects.
